I am trying to re-do my portfolio, most probably will still keep my current small size capital but need to balance between the long term and short term more.
CL
Another stupid mistake similar to AG, which is chasing for dividend at last minute and not patient enough. Bought at high price and when it started to shoot up, I sold everything at a low price. The TA did show me the potential of bullish but I still run fast due to FEAR - a common mistake for most beginners like me. However, luckily I did average it down more than a month ago. So the earning is still over the losing, gave me some kopi money in the end. This sell order has closed all my holdings for CL, it was my favorite counter last year but I am planning to switch to other stock instead.
GAR
In November, I closed all my GAR for peanuts and it made me regret till now hee. So I decided to pick it up again to cover for those money that I "should have had". Running in and out within 12 days gave me a tiny amount to celebrate the new year. Should have been more patient to get a bigger reward, but well I guess I need more time to train myself to be disciplined.
WE Hldgs, Europtron, YHM
Ok, I admit that I am a stubborn person. Last month I swore to myself not playing penny stock until I have more knowledge and Dear also advised me not to touch those risk. But I bought YHM again end of last month. While I haven't been able to sell it at my TP yet, yesterday I blindly bought another 2 more penny. I did use TA to analyze and set my TP before buying those 2 penny, but telling the truth I have no escape plan for those at all. Dangerous I know...
Sadly after my buying the price drop quite a bit, so this morning I went in and set a lower TP (I couldn't stare at the monitor to see the price, so I always set the TP in the morning before market open). To my surprised, both WE Hldgs and Europtron did go all the way to my predicted price, and even higher. Obviously all my sell orders went through, and gave me a small sum. Not too bad as it happened after 1 day only. I reduced the TP price for YHM as well, managed to get rid of it within the day.
After all the selling above, price shoot all the way up, a bit regret... all same mistakes :(
-oOo-
I was looking forward to clearing another 2 counters that I have hold for quite some time. They indeed went high last week but I missed the sell order, so now I have to play the waiting game again :( may need to wait till March/ April to be able to monitor the market. Hope it won't crash in Feb, else I will have no chance to stop loss...
I also bought a few more counters for long term holding, price all went down after I jumped in, so all are super red now. Trying to be steady!
I guess these are all the activities I did for this month, since I need to start packing my stuff for hospital already. Overall I reached this month target, could have done better but not too bad after all.
Happy New Year! See you after Chinese New Year :)
